2010 INTERNATIONAL HOMELESS ANIMALS’ DAY

On August 21, 2010, Desert Paws sponsored an International Homeless Animals Day event in Palm Desert, CA. This Candlelight Vigil featured speakers including Animal Law Pioneer Henry Holzer and Palm Desert Mayor, Cindy Finnerty. The theme was “Home.” About 75 animal lovers braved the desert heat to remember homeless animals around the world.

SEMINAR ON HUMANE CARE OF COMMUNITY CATS

Feral Cats Instruction course summary In June, 2011, we partnered with Best Friends Animal Society and Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter to conduct a Seminar in Humane Feral Cat management. This hands-on course was attended by about 100 people who learned how to care for community cat colonies in Palm Springs.
