OVERPOPULATION, SPAY AND NEUTER

OVERPOPULATION, SPAY AND NEUTER

Posted on 1 Mar 2015

Did you know that there is a huge problem with pet overpopulation? Each day in the US 70,000 puppies and kittens are born. There are so many unwanted dogs and cats that sadly, millions of wonderful pets are killed every year in shelters because there is just nowhere for them to go.

If you let your animal have a litter, even just one, then these kittens and puppies will go on to produce more offspring themselves  -and very quickly, that adds up to many unwanted dogs and cats!

We all can help reduce this problem by fixing our animals as soon we get them. That’s what responsible pet owners do.

Your veterinarian or a low-cost clinic in your area can do the procedure. Also, fixed animals are less likely to get certain cancers and are less likely to bite, fight, roam or run away. Fixed cats are less likely to mark their territory and attract unwanted animals.

So, for a healthier and happier pet, and to help improve the pet overpopulation problem, make sure to get you animals fixed right away.
